  Convention Season-"Saving Good Seats" & Other Embarrassing Behavior

  since it is the convention season (and i am not attending this year or ever again), and i have been seeing other posts about some of the goings on at the various ic's and rc's, i am reminded of some of the truly embarrassing behavior i have "witnessed" (pun intended) over my lifetime of being a jdub at the various conventions and assemblies.

  probably the most disillusioning experience at a convention that i have ever had was one year when i volunteered to be an attendant.

  all of the volunteers were asked to attend a special meeting a few months beforehand to get instructions for our duties as attendants.

  Where I go for the RC people will stare you down if your sitting in one of the good seats. (End seat or in the first row siting next to your elderly mother who constantly needs Assistence) Also I have seen people go to the point of arguing or shoving to get a good seat. I really do hate going to the conventions sometimes. JW's are supposed to be nice and kind people but obvously we see there not when It comes to getting a seat. Oh ya and two weeks ago when I went some women saved 3 rows for her friends. SMH

  What if you were a JW during WWII? Would you give in to Hitler and fight?

  if you were a jw and lived in germany in wwii, how would you deal with the harsh cruelity of hitler?

  would you join his side so you may have a chance to live (meaning you'd serve in the miliatry and be on the front line) or would you keep on serving god and be executed?

  So I pose this question to everyone. if you were a JW and lived in Germany in WWII, how would you deal with the harsh cruelity of hitler? Would you join his side so you may have a chance to live (meaning you'd serve in the miliatry and be on the front line) or would you keep on serving God and be executed? id appreciate honest thoughts and not just, "oh I could survive that harm, it really wasn't anything major Or it doesn't matter cause I didn't have to go through it."

  i received a call from my book study conductor the other day asking for my email address so that he could start sending electronic copies of the km to me.

  has anyone else received calls like this?

  i've missed quite a few meeting (it's been nice) so am unaware if any letter has been read.

  My friend whose an elder went around to people who use iPads at the meeting and asked if we wanted the electronic copy so he could take our names off the list which will save paper. This happened late last year.

  My thought is the Watchtower didn't say the world would end in 1975, they pretty much said wouldn't it be interesting if it did.
